Taking its name from the “Barrowburn Reel” composed by Addie Harer,
this Raleigh based Celtic music group engages audences with traditional Celtic
music using acoustic instruments. The members of Barrowburn are equally at
home ripping through a set of jigs or reels as they are rendering the simple beauty
of a slow air or lament. Performing both legacy and contemporary ballads from
