Do You Need to Know More About The Town Of Apex?

The Historic flavor of downtown Apex, with its restored buildings and wonderful artistic culture make it a superb place to live in. In a bygone era, the railroad stop was considered the highest point on the Chatham Railroad linking Richmond, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. The train station at the time was located in the forests, and wood, turpentine and tar were shipped from this region. The name "Apex" also relates to the water which flows on one side of Salem Street feeding the Neuse River, while water flowing on the other side of the street is destined for the Cape Fear River.

Apex is conveniently situated, within easy driving distance of the large city of Raleigh, the wonderful universities of Duke, NC State and UNC, and has grown considerably because of its proximity to the Research Triangle Park, which is the home of Merck, IBM, Cisco and many other Research Science and Technology firms.
